Soccerama

The Barbados Secondary Schools’ Football League is looking forward once again to featuring female football on the island throughout the Secondary schools.

BSSFL inviting all interested schools to an open Soccerama on 2nd November 2018 at the University of the West Indies Usain Bolt Complex.

Schools are allowed to field teams of any ages for the seven a side competition with rolling subs. Six outfield players and a goal keeper will participate in the round-robin format allowing for total participation. Refreshments will be provided and all players are asked to bring shin guards and be prepared to have fun.

All participating schools will be awarded a minimum of five footballs to be used for their respective schools. Following the Soccerama, a new and improved League format has been earmarked for the girls to play regular football on a weekly basis. The BSSFL is extremely excited at the possibility of a Girls’ League and hope to see all schools represented.

The soccerama on 2nd November will begin with a parade of teams and opening ceremony at 1:30 pm with games scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm culminating with the Finals and closing ceremony no later than 6:00 pm.

The League is fully willing to present any information or respond to any queries in connection with this event. We look forward to the fullest understanding and cooperation of those who hold the best interests of our youth at heart.
