Support for The Derrick Smith School & Vocational Centre

on July 29th, 2017 in News by The Brewster Trust

The Derrick Smith School & Vocational Centre contacted THE BREWSTER TRUST and asked for some support with regards to the basic needs for its new football programme.

Envisioned to be a ‘campus’ to provide education on academics and life at the secondary and tertiary level for persons with special needs and disabilities, the Derrick Smith School & Vocational Center strives to provide a private arena of learning to the special needs public of Barbados. The main learning centers are organised to effect a ‘green’ courtyard with emphasis placed on supervision and tranquility. The school was completed in 2015 and is located at Lears Plantation, St. Michael.

THE BREWSTER TRUST agreed to assist the school with football shirts, shorts, socks, shin pads, training bibs, football boots, goalkeeping gloves, footballs, ball bags, ball pump with spare needles, marking cones and agility ladders.

We wish Principal Cheryl Rock and her team best of success on their mission.
